1. Navigate to the following in the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
In the right pane change the value of NoDriveTypeAutoRun to 91
Also in the right pane change the value of NoDriveAutoRun to 0
2. Navigate to the following in the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
In the right pane change the value of NoDriveTypeAutoRun to 91
If there is no value of NoDriveTypeAutoRun create one by right clicking in an empty space in the right pane and selecting DWORD (32bit) Value and naming it NoDriveTypeAutoRun.
3. Go to services by you can get there by typing services.msc in the run command.
Scroll down until you get to Shell Hardware Detection and make sure it is running and set to automatic.
That should solve your problem of the AutoRun not working, It did solve my problem.
